The eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is a mandatory electronic authorisation for nationals of visa-exempt countries travelling to Canada by air. It is linked to the passport and permits multiple entries for up to 5 years or until passport expiry. Brazilian citizens, not being visa-exempt, require a TRV (Temporary Resident Visa) to visit Canada.

No. The eTA is an electronic pre-authorisation, but entry into Canada is assessed and decided by the CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency) upon arrival. eTA approval does not guarantee entry.
